3 students from Norway and 2 donors’ representatives from Mission Alliance visited NTFP office at Rovieng district, and visited to Phnom Dek village, Romoniey commune, in Rovieng district of Preah Vihear province, on 7th Oct 2018. In Preah Vihear province, NTFP is operating at two districts which focused on development the community’s knowledge about the impact of chemical use to purify the gold mine which it affects their health.
First, NTFP took the visitors to visit at a house of one of the member of Mine Focal Person in Phnom Dek village, so that they sussed out the local Kouy people made Cambodian traditional sticky rice cake during Pchum Ben festival day. Some of them tried to pack it.
Later on, we took them to see the local Kouy gold diggers were traditionally finding and shifting the gold mine at field.
